Headed to Estes Park today to celebrate the new year with friends and family! I hope that each one of you has a SUPER weekend! I am wishing all who read my blog a lot of laughs, drinks, good times and love as we begin a new Journey into the year 2006! Cheers...and here is to life!
MERRY CHRISTMAS
I just want to wish all my blog readers a Very Merry Christmas! I hope that your holiday is filled with laughter, good times, cheers and love. It has been a great year this one, I have had many changes on my journey from a new career which I absolutely love, to meeting many new people and making many new friends. I have also grown to love my family even more now than ever before! Their support in my wacky year has been much appreciated and I would not be where I am today without their support and love! I hope everyone stays warm enjoys the times, and remember that oftentimes it truly is fate that knocks on our doors! Cheers!
NO MORE CLASSES!...at least for now...
YEAH! Took my last final on Thursday night! I now have about a month off without classes that way I can reconnect with my family and focus intensely on my teaching as well! I am going to also be doing a fair amout of house sitting for a couple friends which will be nice! Now that I am teaching I also get two weeks off here at the holiday season so you know what that means dont you? TWO WEEKS OF MID WEEK SNOWBOARDING! YAHOO! I cannot wait to hit the slopes, no crowds, no lines, its going to be GREAT! I am also headed out today with my friend to add a few final touches to my shopping for the season, it will be great times walking around shopping freezing our behinds off because it is supposed to be super cold and snowy today, not that I am complaining! Well I am off, it is early and I want to lay back in bed and catch a couple more zzz's.
I Will Honk and Flip You Off!
OMG! I have been out shopping this weekend and learned that people have been super crabby this holiday season. It has been a very frustrating experience let me tell you! Between people being bad drivers, bad customers, you name it, it has not been pleasurable. I was glad when the week ended and it actually ended with a bang on Friday night with our holiday party, we had a TON of fun! I got to talk to many people and learn so much about all of the people that I work with, it was a great time! It seems that the past few Friday nights I have gone out, stayed out late, and then paid for it hard on Sunday! Did not make it to the hills this weekend which pisses me off, but I managed to get a lot done around home! So I am guessing that is a good thing! Well I am gonna go for now, I need to get a few more things done as well as get ready for finals this week! Take it easy! PS: What do you think of my new bumper sticker slogan?
FREE iPods
Ok - so I know I should not do this, but, I got an email from a trusting friend and she referred me to this site to get a free iPod. All you need to do is go to the site, register, apply for an offer, anything from just applying for a credit card to design services, and what I did was I signed up for magazines for 30 bucks for 6 subscriptions. Once I get 5 people who joined from my referral then I get a free iPod. You can do the same as well!! So please take a moment to check it out. I was scared at first, but I did some research and all their partners are ligitimate as well as their site. So lets all get FREE iPods! Oh, Yah click on the link of copy and paste it into your browser.

Parade of Lights
Light the Lights!
Can you believe that the holiday season is upon us with the sales getting better as the days approach Christmas? I had the BEST time last night! I went downtown with my friends Melissa and Mark. We met up with two of Melissa's friends and watched the Parade of Lights. Talk about a neat and fun way to not only spend a Friday night but to ring in the Holiday Season. While down there I got to talk to one of the friends, and we had a really good time and I do hope that we are able to do it again. We spent a good majority of the evening hanging out, talking and getting to know one an other. I was glad that she was able to take me home last night, I really appreciated that. I got up early this morning to stand in line for a Christmas gift, met some great people and hopefully will be contacting them. I felt so brave letting someone who I did not know bring me back Starbucks, but it totally worked out. Tomorrow I get to go see my first Christmas play! My friend Allison and her kids are in a play at her church and I was invited! I am very excited and cannot wait to see it! Have a good night, I am off early, lack of sleep is wearing on me. Please click on the 'Parade of Lights' link at the top to check out the Parade. The image is courtesy of that web page.
SHOPPING!
OH THE SALES...
Per tradition Mom and I spent most of our day trying to find the best deals on the items we wanted to purchase as Holiday gifts. Surprisingly I got much of what I wanted and then some! So I guess I could call today rather productive. TALK ABOUT CROWDS though! There were so many people whereever we went, but luckily I always found us close parking! I am pretty good about that! We brought home a car load! Wow, it was unreal! I got one really special gift and I cannot wait for the person getting it to open it! It was one of those things that you only see once a lifetime and that only fits a select few and this person will be so happy with this! Its cute, and that is all that I am saying about that! So I went to Keystone the other day with my friend, we had a great time but the snow sucked! It was really crusty and you could tell that it had been skiied off. We had fun, even though I smacked my knee on the ice. Oh well, you only live once so I am guessing that you should enjoy it! Well I am off for a much needed nap. Its been nice house sitting for my aunt and uncle while they peruse the west coast of Oregon. The picture of today is of my friend and I at Keystone on Wednesday! Aloha! :)
BREAK TIME!
Time for a much needed break...
Giddy up! Made it to Thanksgiving break! Talk about a frazzling week! Everyday the past week I have just about wanted to pull all my hair out at some point. Oh well, it has been a lot of fun, the kids for the most part have been great, although today, many of them were in rare form. We had one discipline problem after another! It sucked. I felt bad for the people having to deal with them, myself included cause I had a few as well! Oh well, I relate it to the forthcoming break and time away from school. I was surprised this morning with Starbucks from my friend (YUM), and then overall had a lot of fun today, a few wrong turns, but overall it was great. Tomorrow I am headed to Keystone with my good friend, I am sure that her and I will have a great time, she is a lot of fun to be with and I am looking foreward to seeing some snow and making a few turns! If I do not update before Thanksgiving, have a GREAT Turkey Day! GOBBLE! GOBBLE! PS: Saw an XBox 360 on sale on eBay for $98,000.00! Yes, ninety-eight thousand dollars! Can you believe that??? Also the picture above was taken at Keystone last time I was up!
Makin' Some Turns...
GIDDY UP!
Made it to Keystone today...
Rock on! Keystone opened Friday!!! I made it up today to make some turns! And to top it off...not that I was excited enough to be up there, but it was a POWDER day! YAHOO!!! The conditions were incredible! They had open about 3/4 of a run open to mid-mountain where you could catch the lift back to the top. If you wanted to go all the way down you had to ride the gondola back down! Oh well, I still had a great time! My first run felt amazing and I found some killer powder stashes! It started to get super crowded for the very minimal terrain they had open so I called it a day! I drove by A-Basin to check them out, but they had HUGE lines as well and only minimal terrain open! Till next time, pray for some more snow!!!
I Feel At Home...?
I Finally Feel Important!
I finally feel at home at the school. I am not too sure what exactely what it was today to make me feel that way, but tonight I really do feel like I am meant to be there. I am not sure if it was playing such a role in the Veterans Day assembly, or talking with parents and them telling me that they appreciate all that I do, or working one on one with a child who needed someone to talk to, or if it was the teachers and the principal thanking me. So many different variables today, not quite sure which one smaked me upside the head and made it all clear. But, something definantely changed. I realized that this is my career, this is my passion, and I do not have to go back to the other job which was really wearing me down. I am at home, and feel at peace with all that I do and really feel like I am making a difference, I could see that today. I am off for the evening...I hope everyone who reads my Blog enjoys what I add, I love this, it is so personal and a great way to share with others a little piece of me. PS: Keystone and Brekenridge open tomorrow!
Still Coughing...
I Know...I Sound Gross...
I know I sound like crap...I am feeling overall better, but each time I cough I can still hear crap deep down in there that needs to come out! My headaches have subsided which tells me the antibiotics are working and clearing up the junk from my head. Had a good day at school yesterday even though I was in a meeting all day. I look foreward to this next week...the kids were so sweet when they heard I was sick, many of them approached me and told me to feel better which I though was so sweet of them, they are so caring! Unfortunantely because of my illness I have not had time to go up to the hills to shoot any pictures or make any turns, but, I did capture a couple from Keystone's website. They are set to open this Friday! YAHOO! I am SOOO excited! I have plans to head up!! The picture in the upper left is of the River Run base and the picture in the lower right is of the Starfire run off of North Peak!! I had a good day as well today, slept in which was nice and something I never get to do! When I finally got out of bed, no one was around, so it was nice and quiet to sip a cup of tea, grade some papers and do a little lite reading. From there helped with a little house work and then when shopping with the parents, and then car shopping with my bro. He is the worst at making decisions, but, he does not even have his license yet, so that should make this decision easier! I still love him! Well, I am off, I am gonna take tonight as a restful relaxing evening at home with a good movie and hit the bed early! Have a good one! I LOVE YOU ALL for thinking of me while I have been ill! :)
Medicine
YUCK!
Aimee - I cannot beleive that we have the same thing! I have been on Zithromax now for 2 days! I came home sick from work today, because it was taking all my energy just to stand there and teach! Yuck! My Dr. also gave me Rescon which is supposed to dry up all the stuff! Its kicking my butt though! I am so worn out, and tired its unreal! I have absolutely no energy which sucks! How are you doing otherwise? I still cannot beleive that we have the same thing, although I dont have the 80 some pills you do. I am allergic to amoxycillian so I have to take the high end antibiotics. I am off! Miss you, call me this weekend!
I THREW IN THE TOWEL...
Ok, so I admit...I babied up...I threw in the towel with this cold cause it settled in my chest this morning and got substantially worse. I woke up and felt like crap! I told myself if it got worse then it was time to admit defeat and give up! So that I did! I called the doctor...was so thankful that they could get me in today! However, I was a little annoyed that I had to wait 35 minutes, but, whatever. Final diagnosis, sinus infection which has been causing all my other ailments. And here I thought it was Bird Flu! LOL JK. Glad it was not that! Well after much persistance by my friend Kathy at work, I finally went home late this afternoon, I have taken my first round of antibiotics as well as the stuff to help dry me up, and clear me up. So with that all said and done, I am gonna go...put on my pajamas, not go to class (doctors orders) and stay home and sleep. Yeah me! Have a good night!! :)
Smile
I HAD THE BEST TIME...
Last night was the carnival at school...I had a great time telling the kids fortunes, and seeing how many of them dressed up for a good time, it was awesome! I even got to see a few of my 5th graders from last year that came...it was cool. However, the evening really picked up when I went out with my friends from work. We had SO MUCH FUN, laughed really hard and overall had a great time! It is so nice to have good people in my life. I even got to know a couple of them even better which made the whole evening special and memorable even though I only got like 3 hours of sleep! I have NEVER stayed out until 3am before...it was awesome! TTFN...Nap Time. PS: "I am pooped!" LOL JK - and the quote of the evening..."I'm not drunk, I'm just disoriented".
I Found My Smile
I knew it was out there somewhere. It has been a long time since I have really felt happy about they way my life was going. This new journey that my life has taken me on, has taken me to places I have not seen before. I have always loved the unknown, but now, its different. The unknown leads me to my smile, no matter where the unknown takes me. I have made many new genuine friendships which really means a lot to me, because this is all new territory for me. I love what I do, I love the kids, I love the people I work with, I love all my new and old friends, and I especially love my family more than they know! Their support over the past couple years has meant more to me than they know, especially as my life transitioned down this new path which I live for each and every day. I am pooped, still working this cold out of my system, so I will talk to you all soon. Listen to your heart, it will tell where your Journey needs to take you! I forgot to mention how happy I am that Indy got better...I was really worried for a while...he has been my hiking buddy for sometime, and when he got sick I was scared. He is better though...and I know ready to hit the trail sometime soon! :)
Happy Birthday
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Happy happy birthday thats what i'm here to say...
Happy happy birthday may all your dreams come true...
Happy happy birthday from meeee to you!
Today is my good friend Allison's Birthday! Yeah! When she last told me she mentioned that she was turning 24 today! LOL, actually since its never polite to ask a woman her age, I didn't. So we are all going out on Friday night which should be A TON of fun! I am so excited! YAHOO! Well...HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLISON! I hope that your day was bright! ;)
Hurricanes
IT HAS BEEN A
RECORD SETTING YEAR
As I sit here and watch the news reports about the record number of named storms this year, I wonder if we as a species have had something to do with this phenomena? When in history has there been so many massive storms that has done so much damage and destruction as this year? Do we play a role in this? Not only is it Hurricanes but look at the Earth Quakes on the other side of the globe. It has been a rough year this year. Although, even though I ponder the kids are eating up Hurricanes this year. It has been something that we have done a lot of research on, and looked at a lot.
I myself am impressed with Mother Nature this year that is for sure.
My heart does go out to all the people that are affected each and every day by these storms.Below you will see a stats box from
http://www.aol.com talking about the
Hurricane stats so far this year.
As the Hurricane season continues on
we are now at our newest named storm.
Alpha is churning just behind Wilma in the below
Wilma is on the Left while Alpha churns in the lower right.
Sub-Human
YEAH! Sub-Human Status Today!! :)
Ok - so I came home sick from work yesterday, I was feeling okay until about 11 in the morning when I started to feel a headache come on. From there it hit fast and hard, and was verging on becoming a migrane. Took an Aleve at 12:20, and by the time I left at 2:20 thought that life was over for me, I could not even function. I am so glad that my brother was there assisting us yesterday, he is like my all time life savor! I love him, and I am also so GREATFUL that Melissa and Allison let me go home early! I came home, crawled right into bed with a cold wash cloth and died! I think I just needed good sleep, a quiet cool space and some alone time. I slept for a good couple hours. The pain in my head began to subside and I started feeling somewhat of a human again. I had promised my parents dinner out this week, so off we went to Buca di Beppo. Talk about an AWESOME restaurant with the coolest atmosphere! I was not expecting at all of how their establishment looked like! It was such a great evening spending time with my parents and chatting and did a little lite shopping after even though I still kinda felt like I was going to die. We had fun looking for halloween costumes! As of this morning, after a NyQuil enduced coma last night I am starting to feel somewhat sub-human. Whatever this was thats been wrecking havok on me, is going buh-bye because I am a tough cookie! Well I am off to my day...its going to be a lot of R&R this weekend so I can give my full attention to the kids on Monday! Later Tater!
I Hate Being Sick!!
GOTTA LOVE NYQUIL!
Its been a rollercoaster of not feeling so well these past couple of days, on again, off again sore throat, but overall feeling better this evening. Not quite sure what it is, but probably something I picked up from one of the kids! Oh well, I love them! Its been kinda an awkward week so far, like I feel like I am getting a lot accomplished, but at the same time feel like I am standing still. It may be due to the fact that I have not been feeling well, or the after effects of the NyQuil, one of the aboeve! Tomorrow is our fun run, that should be a lot of fun! Something different to add to our week! I am Overly excited that A-Basin is open this weekend, I need some mountain time, and better yet, some mountain time doing what I passion! I will also be stoked once this next science test is over, I am stressing because I really struggled with a few of the concepts, but I know that like always I will do just fine. (Lets Hope). Well Just a quick update for the evening...I will try some more cheese and milk before bed to see if that helps me sleep better, Dad saw a story about something in cheese and milk that allows you for a better nights sleep, so I will try it again tonight, minus the NyQuil! PS: Its not me in the picture...but it will be in a few days!!!! :)
October 20, 2005 - THIS JUST IN...
This may make some of you happy to know that as of 8:45 this evening my voice is about 100% gone! I am nothing but breaths of air and the occasional squeak! A lot of good I will be tomorrow with 30 kids! Oh well! Ni-Nite! :)
Homework
AGHH! Science Classes!
I really need to sit down today, read some some Carl Sagan and make a response to this book. However, its been way off the wall and I am sitting here thinking about all of the yard work that still needs to be done. Dad and I went on a mission yesterday for a chain saw to complete our tree trimming from the storm that caused many of our trees to break, and one to completely crack in half. We worked until sunset last night and now today we have a HUGE pile or debris! So here I sit, Sagan at my side and my pile of debris out front. What to do? I even went to bed last night at 8:30, but woke up early at 4:30 this morning, so I laid in bed for a while watched Everwood from Thursday and Sideways. Till Next Time - Remember, Loveland is open, Snowboard Season has begun. Check them out at: http://www.skiloveland.com
A-Basin Opens Friday!!!
Keep your eyes peeled for me making turns up here next weekend!!!
Isn't it Magical?
IT'S SNOWING IN THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS
I cannot contain myself what-so-ever! The snow in the high country is BEAUTIFUL right now! It is now wintertime! I cannot wait for the latter part of the week when I can look out my front windows and see white peaks!

WET FALL SNOWSTORM
I have watched the snow fall all day, its been beautiful!
However with wet snow, comes broken trees.
We have had a few inches of heavy wet snow all day!
This is one of the big trees in our back yard!

It is definantely play time! Went with a couple friends last night to Six Flags and Fright Fest! Went to Brutal Planet, one of Colorado's top 5 haunted house, and found myself screaming like a girl on a number of occasions! It was good! We also rode a few rides and were the last ones to take a journey through the Scream House, again girl screams were heard! Oh well, it was a lot of fun, and we had a really good time! Check out Fright Fest by going to - http://www.sixflags.com Spent all day today in class with Project Learning Tree. I got some good material to use later on, and gained some information, but overall the day sucked because my presenters were not all that good. They spent 8 hours teaching us how to use a book, and I feel that I am a well educated person, and really could figure the book out on my own, but none the less I did find the information helpful. Visit them at - http://www.plt.org I am exhausted tonight, its been a long couple of days, and I am really glad to get to go to bed early.
On a much lighter note, the Denver area is under a winter weather watch for Monday. YAHOO!! Giddyup! Arapahoe is fiercly making snow to meet the October 21st deadline set for opening day! I am ready and counting the days, it is time, although it seems like we went straight from hot summer to brutally cold winter!
Oh well, that is Colorado for you! Have a great weekend!! :)
Pictures as Windows
Do you ever look at a picture as a window into your life? I look at pictures as just that. They are snapshots my life, where its taken me, things I have accomplished or in this case mountains I have climbed. But, oftentimes, especially lately I have looked at those same pictures that have taken me to great places and taken a new look. I have spent time wondering what is missing from those pictures. That is where my journey is at this moment in time. It has seen accomplishments and achievements, but now it wants to know what it missed along the way. There are places that I have been, things I have seen and mountains I have climbed. But, what would make those pictures that much better? That is where my journey is, searching. Not even quite sure for what...just searching for new adventures that take me to new heights.
"Pictures...windows into the soul of the photographer" ~Matt~
Race Day!
Today is a very special day! Today is The Race for the Cure here in Denver. Yes, I will be in the race. I am walking today for my Grandma and my friends; Debbie, Chris and Jeannette. They are ALL survivors and thrive each and every day! Today I will do my part to someday find a cure for this disease!
On a MUCH lighter note, my good friend Paige got married yesterday! Probably one of the most beautiful weddings ever. It was at Sunlight Ski Resort and all the trees were in color! I have attached a few pictures this morning of the gorgeous colors! It was such a beautiful day, and Paige and Ed are truly meant to be together and I don't know any two people who were as destined as these two! Good Luck on your new Journey through life!
Sunlight Ski Resort on a Beautiful Fall day!!
Fall is Definantely in the Air!
Glad that the week is over, it was kinda a crazy week, had a lot to do but managed to get it all done, so that was the most important part. I also got back my first exam, got an A but was worried cause I felt a little uneasy about a few of the answers. Well, Friday afternoon I drove to Glenwood Springs, and took a little detour over Loveland Pass to check out some snow and some fall colors. I found myself very fruitful on that little endeavor, and really enjoyed the drive! Everything right now in the high country is a gorgeous shade of golden yellow! Not to mention that the weather was just perfect for pictures and hiking! Got to Glenwood Springs about 7pm and met up with my friends had some dinner watched a movie, and then a little late night shopping for school on Monday! It is now Saturday morning, and if you know me, you know that I am an early morning riser. So even though I went to bed at midnight I am up at 6! Also, as of this morning, I have health insurance again! No more worrying about getting sick or dying of some rare amazonian diease! Make it an EXTRAORDINARY weekend! :)
Do You See That???
Okay - look VERY Carefully! YES! You see it too! I CANNOT BELIEVE IT! It snowed on Keystones North Peak last night! OH MY GOSH! Does this maybe mean that snowboard season is approaching?? It sure has gotten cooler down here in the Metro Area! YIPEE! SNOW on Baby! I cannot wait, or could you infer that already!?!? So my friends just back on town from Hawaii and my other friends are getting back in town from Germany! How exciting is that! They said they had a great time, although it was a little on the warm side due to a near by hurricane, but overall they had a great time! I cannot wait to hear from my other friends either, I bet that they just a SUPER time in Germany! Well I just wanted to make a quick little update with whats been going on this weekend! I am headed out later to a friends house for a barbeque this afternoon, although it may be indoors since its a little on the chilly side - only 55 degrees at the moment! Aloha!
It's Over!
It has been a crazy long week, and I cannot begin to tell you how thankful I am that its over! I can sleep in tomorrow catch up on some reading, catch a nap or twenty and just relax a little. I cannot wait to see my friends who get back into town on Sunday from Hawaii and Germany! I hope that they all had super AWESOME trips! I am jealous! I have been watching the news, and with our weather pattern this weekend its prime conditions for moisture in the form of snow in Summit County where many of our prime ski resorts are located, so bring it on!! YAHOO!! Happy Weekend!!! :)
Rita
Just when we thought we had a handle on the cleanup from Katrina, we now face the dilemma of Rita. She is headed straight towards Texas. I do hope that everyone has learned and has left the area or is doing so rather rapidly. It has been a very active year for storms and it does not seem to be getting any better, just worse. I have heard rumors, that maybe if this storm continues on its current track and the jetstream over Colorado takes a dip then we may see rain from a Hurricane here in Colorado following Rita. So lets keep our eyes peeled. I have been tracking this storm with the assistance of: http://www.noaa.gov and http://www.weather.unisys.com Have a good night!!! :)
One of those Days
You know how every now and then you just have 'one of those days'? Well that was yesterday! just one of those days! Oh well, life often throws us curve balls, but we swing anyway hoping to hit it out of the field. After some talk things got ironed out, which is good. Plus on the upside it was the season premier of 7th Heaven last night! So that made my day that much better! Well I hate to be brief but I need to get ready for work this morning! This picture was taken over Memorial Day weekend at the start of the summer just in the tiny town of Jefferson, Colorado! I hope you enjoy the pictures that I post on here, I love taking and sharing them with everyone!! :)
Paradise Playground
Had a GREAT day today, even though I was awake at 1:30 this morning and am going to dinner with friends at 9 this evening! Got to school early, got a few things done, most importantely got our school a color printer! I am so excited about this, I cannot even begin to tell you about it! But that is all besides the point! Had an inservice day today, and we took the kids to Paradise Playground. The parents of a former student of mine own it, and I had never heard of it, nor been there, but we took our all day daycare kids! We had so much fun! It was a GREAT time! It was fun also to get to know a couple of the people I work with better so that was great as well! Well I am pooped, waiting for my friends to get in town so we can go eat and so I can get some sleep! Have a EXTRAORDINARY weekend! PS: The picture is courtesy: http://www.paradise-playground.com/
First SNOW
Welcome to Fall in Colorado. The first official day is on the 22nd but yesterday a few of the ski resorts saw their first snow! Its going to be a great season, I just know it! The last few days have been good...I am finally feeling better, I did not feel so good there for a while, I actually though that I was going to die at midnight Tuesday morning! But I am feeling much better today, so that is a good thing! Its going to be a busy weeks end with my friends coming into town and having class tonight! Well, enjoy the cool weather and check out: http://www.arapahoebasin.com for more snow updates! YAHOO!!
Red Rocks
ROCK ON! Just got home from the Dave Matthews Band live at Red Rocks to benefit those affected by Hurricane Katrina! What an AWESOME show, and what a GREAT place to see Dave Matthews! They ROCK! Went with my brother and a couple of friends, and we had a GREAT time! It was amazing, such power and compassion was felt at this show! I am off! Have a WONDERFUL Evening!! :)
Uncle Wayne's Dad and a Day of Rememberance
I have learned over the past week and a half that my Uncles Dad is not doing so well health wise and they think that his time may be nearing the end. I just wanted to make a post and share with you the Blog that was created in his honor! I thought that it was a nice way to live a life, and share with others a life that truly was lived. Wayne, know that I am here for you and your family if you need anything at all! ~Matt~ (PS: The picture is of Uncle Wayne)
http://paulsfamilylife.blogspot.com/
Today is also a special day marking the 4th year anniversary of the September 11th attacks on our country. I also want to take a moment and remember those who died, and remember that we as a country will one day crawl from the ashes and thrive.
Homework
Today is a day of rest, relaxation and yes, Homework. However, I really wish that I could be sitting at Hays Creek Falls (to the right). That would be a great place to sit, read, ponder and explore what I do not know! Had a great end to the week! The principal wants me to chair a committee at school, so I am thinking about that. Its weird for me to have people come up and ask me to do things and complement me on how well I am doing. I have never really work in an environment like that before. So, its nice! Also had a get together with a few people from work last night, that was a lot of fun! But, now its time to get my behind out of bed and get some stuff done, I got a lot to do and only two days to do it in! Have a great weekend!!!
Dave Matthews Band
In an effort to aid those that have been affected by Hurricane Katrina the Dave Matthews Band along with the Neville Brothers are performing a relief concert live at Red Rocks on Monday the 12 of September! You want to know the best part? I GOT TICKETS!!! Row 5 baby! I am so EXCITED I cannot even begin to tell you! Its going to be a lot of fun, and the best part is that 100% of everything from tickets to beer to tshirts is going to aid those affected by Katrina! I also had one of my pictures below on my Marble post shared on live TV this morning on 9News! So its been an exciting couple of days! The image on my post today is courtesy: http://www.davematthewsband.com/. The image that was on 9News is the picture where you see the river and the trees and fog rolling through them! I taped it! YEAH!! Make it a GREAT day! :)
Bogan Flats
Marble
Oh my gosh! Its been a while since I last made an update to the ol' blog! Well there has been a lot going on, so I have many things to share! Had a great end to my week last week spent my time with specials doing research on hurricane related stuff, and the kids REALLY got into it, which was awesome! So since it was labor day weekend, it sounded like a good time to take a trip, so take a trip I did! Went to Marble, Colorado with my family! My Dad and my Bro took off early Friday afternoon, and Mom and I drove up later, since I had to work late! On the way up we picked up a Mean Green from White House Pizza, which was SO Yummy when we got there, cause it was about 10pm! Well on Saturday we had a lazy morning and by the afternoon we decided to adventure and head to the town of Marble and go see the Marble query. Very beautiful place! The campground is actually a couple miles from the town and its called Bogan Flats, and its gorgeous! Probably one of the most beautiful campgrounds in the state! You can only get reservations 2+ weeks in advance, they won't just let you come! Well on Sunday a few of us went to the pool in Glenwood, that was a lot of fun! Always fun to people watch and work on your tan at the same time! Well, its been too short, but also thought I would share a few more photos that I have taken this trip...had a few AWESOME opportunities this time, so I hope you enjoy!
