MERRY CHRISTMAS

I just want to wish all my blog readers a Very Merry Christmas! I hope that your holiday is filled with laughter, good times, cheers and love. It has been a great year this one, I have had many changes on my journey from a new career which I absolutely love, to meeting many new people and making many new friends. I have also grown to love my family even more now than ever before! Their support in my wacky year has been much appreciated and I would not be where I am today without their support and love! I hope everyone stays warm enjoys the times, and remember that oftentimes it truly is fate that knocks on our doors! Cheers!

NO MORE CLASSES!...at least for now...

YEAH! Took my last final on Thursday night! I now have about a month off without classes that way I can reconnect with my family and focus intensely on my teaching as well! I am going to also be doing a fair amout of house sitting for a couple friends which will be nice! Now that I am teaching I also get two weeks off here at the holiday season so you know what that means dont you? TWO WEEKS OF MID WEEK SNOWBOARDING! YAHOO! I cannot wait to hit the slopes, no crowds, no lines, its going to be GREAT! I am also headed out today with my friend to add a few final touches to my shopping for the season, it will be great times walking around shopping freezing our behinds off because it is supposed to be super cold and snowy today, not that I am complaining! Well I am off, it is early and I want to lay back in bed and catch a couple more zzz's.

I Will Honk and Flip You Off!

OMG! I have been out shopping this weekend and learned that people have been super crabby this holiday season. It has been a very frustrating experience let me tell you! Between people being bad drivers, bad customers, you name it, it has not been pleasurable. I was glad when the week ended and it actually ended with a bang on Friday night with our holiday party, we had a TON of fun! I got to talk to many people and learn so much about all of the people that I work with, it was a great time! It seems that the past few Friday nights I have gone out, stayed out late, and then paid for it hard on Sunday! Did not make it to the hills this weekend which pisses me off, but I managed to get a lot done around home! So I am guessing that is a good thing! Well I am gonna go for now, I need to get a few more things done as well as get ready for finals this week! Take it easy! PS: What do you think of my new bumper sticker slogan?

FREE iPods

Ok - so I know I should not do this, but, I got an email from a trusting friend and she referred me to this site to get a free iPod. All you need to do is go to the site, register, apply for an offer, anything from just applying for a credit card to design services, and what I did was I signed up for magazines for 30 bucks for 6 subscriptions. Once I get 5 people who joined from my referral then I get a free iPod. You can do the same as well!! So please take a moment to check it out. I was scared at first, but I did some research and all their partners are ligitimate as well as their site. So lets all get FREE iPods! Oh, Yah click on the link of copy and paste it into your browser.

Parade of Lights

Light the Lights!
Can you believe that the holiday season is upon us with the sales getting better as the days approach Christmas? I had the BEST time last night! I went downtown with my friends Melissa and Mark. We met up with two of Melissa's friends and watched the Parade of Lights. Talk about a neat and fun way to not only spend a Friday night but to ring in the Holiday Season. While down there I got to talk to one of the friends, and we had a really good time and I do hope that we are able to do it again. We spent a good majority of the evening hanging out, talking and getting to know one an other. I was glad that she was able to take me home last night, I really appreciated that. I got up early this morning to stand in line for a Christmas gift, met some great people and hopefully will be contacting them. I felt so brave letting someone who I did not know bring me back Starbucks, but it totally worked out. Tomorrow I get to go see my first Christmas play! My friend Allison and her kids are in a play at her church and I was invited! I am very excited and cannot wait to see it! Have a good night, I am off early, lack of sleep is wearing on me. Please click on the 'Parade of Lights' link at the top to check out the Parade. The image is courtesy of that web page.

SHOPPING!

OH THE SALES...

Per tradition Mom and I spent most of our day trying to find the best deals on the items we wanted to purchase as Holiday gifts. Surprisingly I got much of what I wanted and then some! So I guess I could call today rather productive. TALK ABOUT CROWDS though! There were so many people whereever we went, but luckily I always found us close parking! I am pretty good about that! We brought home a car load! Wow, it was unreal! I got one really special gift and I cannot wait for the person getting it to open it! It was one of those things that you only see once a lifetime and that only fits a select few and this person will be so happy with this! Its cute, and that is all that I am saying about that! So I went to Keystone the other day with my friend, we had a great time but the snow sucked! It was really crusty and you could tell that it had been skiied off. We had fun, even though I smacked my knee on the ice. Oh well, you only live once so I am guessing that you should enjoy it! Well I am off for a much needed nap. Its been nice house sitting for my aunt and uncle while they peruse the west coast of Oregon. The picture of today is of my friend and I at Keystone on Wednesday! Aloha! :)

BREAK TIME!

Time for a much needed break...
Giddy up! Made it to Thanksgiving break! Talk about a frazzling week! Everyday the past week I have just about wanted to pull all my hair out at some point. Oh well, it has been a lot of fun, the kids for the most part have been great, although today, many of them were in rare form. We had one discipline problem after another! It sucked. I felt bad for the people having to deal with them, myself included cause I had a few as well! Oh well, I relate it to the forthcoming break and time away from school. I was surprised this morning with Starbucks from my friend (YUM), and then overall had a lot of fun today, a few wrong turns, but overall it was great. Tomorrow I am headed to Keystone with my good friend, I am sure that her and I will have a great time, she is a lot of fun to be with and I am looking foreward to seeing some snow and making a few turns! If I do not update before Thanksgiving, have a GREAT Turkey Day! GOBBLE! GOBBLE! PS: Saw an XBox 360 on sale on eBay for $98,000.00! Yes, ninety-eight thousand dollars! Can you believe that??? Also the picture above was taken at Keystone last time I was up!

Makin' Some Turns...

GIDDY UP!
Made it to Keystone today...
Rock on! Keystone opened Friday!!! I made it up today to make some turns! And to top it off...not that I was excited enough to be up there, but it was a POWDER day! YAHOO!!! The conditions were incredible! They had open about 3/4 of a run open to mid-mountain where you could catch the lift back to the top. If you wanted to go all the way down you had to ride the gondola back down! Oh well, I still had a great time! My first run felt amazing and I found some killer powder stashes! It started to get super crowded for the very minimal terrain they had open so I called it a day! I drove by A-Basin to check them out, but they had HUGE lines as well and only minimal terrain open! Till next time, pray for some more snow!!!

I Feel At Home...?

I Finally Feel Important!
I finally feel at home at the school. I am not too sure what exactely what it was today to make me feel that way, but tonight I really do feel like I am meant to be there. I am not sure if it was playing such a role in the Veterans Day assembly, or talking with parents and them telling me that they appreciate all that I do, or working one on one with a child who needed someone to talk to, or if it was the teachers and the principal thanking me. So many different variables today, not quite sure which one smaked me upside the head and made it all clear. But, something definantely changed. I realized that this is my career, this is my passion, and I do not have to go back to the other job which was really wearing me down. I am at home, and feel at peace with all that I do and really feel like I am making a difference, I could see that today. I am off for the evening...I hope everyone who reads my Blog enjoys what I add, I love this, it is so personal and a great way to share with others a little piece of me. PS: Keystone and Brekenridge open tomorrow!
