Please bear with me! This is going to be a long post this week! Ok, so yesterday my good friend Amy and I went to Ski and Ride Keystone, no traffic on the way up, not a lot of people on the mountain made for a great morning. We left about 12:30 and headed over to Brek to check out the snow sculptures! OMG - they were amazing! The one here on the right is the world and it was hallowed out and there were two people on the inside! It was AMAZING! So we left there about 1:40, ok. We went into Dillion to the Dam Brewery for a quick bite to eat before we drove home. We left the restaurant at 2:50. We drove over Loveland Pass and as soon as we hit I-70 we were stuck in traffic. Amy was worried cause she had a dinner party at 6, I was worried cause I had dinner reservations at 6 as well plus I threw Mom a suprise 50th Birthday Party last night! She had no IDEA what so ever! I have been working on this for like a month! It was great though! All her friends were there and family, she had a great time! I cannot forget though that dinner was to celebrate my Aunt's birthday as well! So, Sharon this is for you: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! It was quite the day. Amy and I finally got home about 5:30, it took us like 2.5 hours to get home! IT SUCKED! Usually that drive should take just over 1 hour. Oh well, we listed to some good music, laughed hard and just enjoyed each others company! It was a lot of fun! Till next time...
Winter Park
I HAVE HAD THE BEST WEEKEND IN A LONG TIME! I spent Friday night with my 4 friends from school just hangin out eating fondue and having a couple beers. Then I spent ALL day Saturday with my other 4 friends up at Winter Park! It was SO MUCH FUN! We skiied and rode hard in the morning, and then tailgated in the parking lot for Mary Janes 30th Birthday Bash! There was a bon-fire, chili, beers, friends, laughs and definantely good times! Tried a new pizza joint as well called Hernando's in Winter Park, pretty good pizza! I enjoyed myself SO much this weekend! My face hurts from smiling so much to be honest!
Warrenty
So never before have I ever had to use the warrenty or purchased the extended warrenty but last year for Christmas my parents got me a Picture Mate by Epson and they also purchased the extended warrenty for 30 bucks. So I started having issues with the printer. Took it in this time last week to Best Buy, they sent it in and informed me that they would call with any information. Well Thursday night they called. It would cost Epson more to fix my printer than the cost of refunding the original purchase price. Well, as the story goes I got back 200 bucks, which is way more than the printer is sold for today, so I was able to upgrade and still get a Picture Mate, but I was able to get the Delux model with the color screen and all these cool Disney frames that I can add to my photos! I thought that was pretty cool, and yes, again I purchased the extended warrenty just in case! Also this time last week I got a thing in the mail for a no-obligation trial of coffee and a free stainless steel coffee pot, well I signed up for that for 10 bucks, and cancelled my membership yesterday, so I got a brand new 12-cup coffee maker and a pound of gourmet coffee for 10 bucks! This seemed to be a week of deals for me! I also survived the first week back from vacation, which I was nervous about, but as the week went on I eased right into it! It was good to see the kids again, but sad to hear that there were a few who are not coming back to our school! That made me sad, but I wish them the best of luck on their new journies! Well, as I sit here watching the news I hear that for the first time in over a month SNOW is in the forecast, we need the moisture BADLY here on the eastern plains! We have had to water our lawn on a couple different occasions! Well, I wish you all a GREAT week, and look foreward to all your comments, also please check out my 'Peril in Estes Park' blog, I got a DVD about our trek and boy was it good! http://www.perilinestespark.blogspot.com/
Maintenence
Took my car in the other day for a simple tire rotation. I knew that it was coming due for some minor maintence things such as Brakes, Struts and an Alignment. I had no idea that it was due that day! The guys at Big O reccomended strongly that I get all that done, plus my tires were wearing and two of them were in need of being replaced. I opted to do it all, the whole package with 4 new tires! Yikes! They even had to order parts from Texas to finish the job so the car spent 2 days in the shop! They were GREAT though! I would highly reccomend them! They were up front with me, they even let me go into the shop to see exactely what was going on, which made me feel good that I was not getting ripped off, which I knew I was not! But, in the end I had to swallow hard when I signed on the bottom line for $1,463.00 worth of work! Ouch! Oh well, my car is in great shape, its almost paid off and I love it! I even had the engine rebuilt only a few thousand miles ago, and everyone tells me its in great shape for having 85,000 miles on it! That was the expense of my winter break! It hurt, but it needed to be done! Till next time, Cheers! :)
Peril In Estes Park
Ok - I started a new blog: http://perilinestespark.blogspot.com
This is the story of what started as 4 friends grew into 5 friends who each year conquer another mountain! This trip we do each year to Estes Park is a lot of fun, and I have a great time and I am sure that my friends do as well! The picture below is of me on top of Emerald Mountain near Estes Park, Colorado.
